Enjoy an exclusive Te Kairanga Winemakers Dinner next Friday 21 August, 6pm, at The Runholder, part of the Pour & Explore Martinborough series this winter.

Te Kairanga winemakers John Kavanagh and Martin Bell have carefully curated an exceptional wine selection to accompany a four-course menu, including the yet-to-be released 2025 vintages of Te Kairanga John Martin and Te Kairanga Runholder Pinot Noirs, alongside rare library wines.

Thoughtfully designed in collaboration with The Runholder chefs, the menu showcases fresh local fish, prime cuts, and decadent sweets, each course crafted to complement and celebrate the character of the wines.

$120 per person includes four-course dinner with four matched Te Kairanga wines.

Te Kairanga is proud to support emerging Wellington conductor and composer Luka Venter, who has been awarded one of just two coveted places in the Royal Academy of Music's postgraduate conducting programme in London.

This is a remarkable achievement and Luka is only the second New Zealander ever to be accepted into the programme. While this opportunity is truly life-changing, it also comes with significant tuition fees of around $70,000 per year.

To help make this next chapter possible, Luka is presenting a special fundraising concert. We wish him every success as he takes up this extraordinary opportunity to develop as a conductor and, in time, return to Aotearoa to make a lasting contribution to our musical landscape.

We’re delighted to announce that Te Kairanga Estate Pinot Noir 2024 has been awarded Platinum at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards, one of the world's most respected and influential wine competitions.

Judged alongside thousands of wines from across the globe, a Platinum medal places Te Kairanga Estate Pinot Noir 2024 among the finest wines entered in this year's competition. A tremendous achievement and recognition of the work our viticulture and winemaking teams put into every vintage.

This year’s results are a powerful testament to the quality and style of the Martinborough region, with Palliser Wine Estate’s Hua Nui Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024 and Craggy Range Winery's Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc 2025 also being awarded Platinum medals.

“For a region that produces less than 2% of New Zealand wine, Martinborough really punches above it weight. It’s wonderful to be recognised alongside our neighbours for that commitment to quality,” John Kavanagh, Te Kairanga Winemaker.

Happy International Sauvignon Blanc Day.

We're celebrating with our Te Kairanga Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2025, which recently took home the Trophy for Champion Sauvignon Blanc at the New Zealand International Wine Show 2025. A standout win for Martinborough in category usually dominated by Marlborough!

Te Kairanga Estate Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and precise with crunchy fruit, herbal lift, blackcurrant leaf and a subtle saline finish.
