Matahiwi Estate Great Wairarapa wines, vibrant, approachable and made to be enjoyed with good food, good friends and better conversation.

Symbolising the rebirth of winemaking in Masterton for the first time since prohibition, Matahiwi’s logo embraces the phoenix – a mythical sacred firebird, which ignites and reduces itself and its nest to ashes at the end of its 500- to 1000-year life cycle, only to emerge anew to live again. Matahiwi Estate produces its wine according to the criteria of Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand.
