This is my stacking mission today … what starts as a big pile of poorly packed boxes of cartons - collected in a hurry from Victory Community Centre, Godzillas, Organic Foods & Little Dove - eventually ends up as four banana boxes of tightly stacked cartons, ready for delivery and baling.
We are up to Box No 1,974 💥

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here … being sick after a wee holiday will set you back a bit … but here we are, sorting and stacking the week’s carton collections … After 2 days of fairly solid rain, it was nice to be out in the fresh air.
These are cartons were collected from our bins at the Weds Farmers Market, Godzillas, Little Dove, Organic Foods, Sports Therapy and Spagalimis … all still keeping us busy, so thank you for using them!!

📣 Great news team 📣
♻ We are super stoked to announce that we have ANOTHER carton collection point on board, now bringing the total of Richmond locations to THREE ... and a new total of 14 overall.
♻ The beautiful team at Grounded Store & Tonic Bar have reached out and offered to host a collection bin. They are located at Old Factory Corner, 145 McShane Road - along with Connings, The Grape Escape Cafe, Good For Refillery, The Junction cheese shop etc.
♻ Not only will this carton collection bin be available for YOUR food & beverage cartons, but Monique has also invited and encouraged the other cafes in the complex to use the bin for recycling their cartons too!
♻ Just remember that your cartons MUST be prepared by you before you drop them to the bin - that means that they have been cut open flat and washed clean. Please ensure your cartons are dry when you pop them into the wheelie bin, and preferably leave the plastic lids left ON.
♻ This collection point is available Monday to Friday between 9am - 3pm and on Saturdays between 10am - 2pm.

Just a reminder about plastic lids … we can ONLY accept plastic lids that are marked with a 2 or a 5 in a recycling triangle.
Any plastic that lids that are not marked with a two or a five will need to go in your own rubbish bin … otherwise they just end up in mine!
The irony is that these days I put out far more rubbish than I ever did before I started Grassroots Recycling!!!
