It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved mother-in-law and tasting room attendant extraordinaire Thelma Dunn, who died today aged 89 at Jack Inglis Friendship Hospital in Motueka. Many of you will remember her generous hospitality and knack for making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. She had the uncanny ability to ask you about your family and where you came from, and inevitably find a friend or relation of yours that she knew of. These personal connections were gold, and many customers would return asking about Thelma and share their experience. Thank you, Thelma, for everything (especially your daughter). We will miss you!
P.S. For those living close by and wanting to attend the funeral, it will be this Tuesday 22 October at St Peter and St Paul's Catholic Church, Waimea West at 2pm.
