Even for people who are not particularly interested in landslides, this block slide is quite an amazing spectacle.
Shame about the music and the fact that it's cut short!

Had another great day's work on the Paparoa Escarpment last week. Disappointing to see a landslide on this iconic section of track...but don't worry, it's open again now!

Great to see a project like this one completed.
The Manganui Gorge bridge on Mt Taranaki. Three years after my first geotechnical investigation work, the bridge is now complete! Great work as always DOC, Abseil Access, Vertech, Rileys, and DC Structures Studio.

Amazing footage of a low angle deep seated mudslide in Norway. Thankfully, nobody was injured!

Several minor landslides followed, and nearby houses were temporarily evacuated

Great to be back at work after the lockdown!! Did a nice piece of work for DoC on the West Coast. Significant landslip which had put the newly opened Paparoas Great Walk at risk...Fortunately, the wild terrain that this track traverses was on our side with this one! The landslip debris is resting on shallowly sloping ground, which is riddled with sink holes and subterranean waterways. The debris is 50m short of the track, but even if the log jam lets go the muddy clay debris will just go down a sink hole!
