Black is black… right? Not quite.

When it comes to printing, there are different ways to build black - and they can produce very different results.

A simple 100% black works beautifully for text and fine details. A rich black uses a combination of CMYK inks to create something deeper and stronger for larger areas and backgrounds.

Get the mix wrong and you can end up with blacks that look washed out, muddy, or inconsistent - which is exactly the kind of thing we check before anything goes to print.

Your artwork's colour setup matters just as much as the design itself.

Because not all blacks are created equal.
