My work has taken me far this week :)
I love facilitation and this week two very different facilitation gigs.
Firstly, closer to home, helping an awesome trust with their strategy. Finding clarity among exciting ( and busy) opportunities.
Secondly, I travelled most of yesterday ( by plane) to facilitate a mentoring workshop for community leaders. Today I travel home :)

Anzac day will mean different things to each of us. This year war is having an impact globally. Today is a day to remember those who have fought and the sacrifices they made, while also hoping for peace in the conflicts that are happening now.

The Gallup report "State of the global workplace" arrived in my inbox last week.
This year the report says that engagement dropped to 2020 levels Although wellbeing increased in 2025, which is reassuring.
Australia/New Zealand is slighty above average. Globally 20% of staff are engaged - here it is 21%. Which is a drop of 2% from the previous survey. A key to improve organisational performance is to reduce the "not engaged" and move them into the "engaged" category.
Globally the drop in engagement is caused by a drop in management engagement. And the survey shows that best practice companies have 79% Management engagement.
How can you ensure best practice - one way is to make sure your people receive good personal development.
The good news for Manawatū is that there are opportunities to upskill.

I'm looking forward to a weekend of friends and family, with a little bit of gardening in the mix.
