A little bit of TSB Festival of Lights has landed at New Plymouth Airport for the holidays! ✈️

We built this (Award Winning) Illuminated Hopscotch for ✨TSB Festival of Lights back in 2020, and it quickly became a favourite with kids (and some big kids too! 😊).
So we were pretty excited when New Plymouth District Council asked us to give it a birthday and create an activation for the airport.

It's great to see the installation getting a second life and bringing a bit of fun to travellers as they pass through.🧡

✨ It was a privilege to help Plymasters bring their vision to life at the Sign+Print Expo 2026.

🛠️ Our team designed and built a custom exhibition stand to showcase the versatility of ColourPanel, featuring illuminated lightboxes 💡, a freestanding display wall, custom furniture, and an A-frame display with integrated shelving.

🌈 ColourPanel is a unique Plymasters product designed to overcome the limitations of traditional MDF, with colour running through the full thickness of the panel - making it ideal for routed designs, signage, displays, furniture, joinery, and more.

For this project, we routed, cut, drilled, printed and assembled the entire display system using ColourPanel.

🙌 A fantastic collaboration, a standout display, and an innovative product with endless possibilities.

We had a bit of fun in the workshop recently. Last year we purchased an automated gluing machine from the ISA Sign Expo in Las Vegas✨. We haven't had many opportunities to put it through its paces yet, so when some black acrylic offcuts were left over from a job, Neal decided to experiment.

The result? A new illuminated Master Sign Maker lightbox ⚡️
What's cool about this project is there's no vinyl on this project at all. The entire sign is made from laser-cut acrylic (black, clear and opal), precision glued using our new machine.
What better way to showcase our Master Sign Maker accreditation!🤩

For those unfamiliar with it, Master Sign Maker is the highest level of professional accreditation in the New Zealand Sign industry. It recognises businesses committed to craftsmanship, professionalism, continual learning and industry engagement.

While attending Sign+Print Expo 2026 last week, Logan had the privilege of serving as a judge for the inaugural Young Signee of the Year competition.

Eight of New Zealand's most promising young signees competed in a live, skills-based challenge, rotating through a series of practical and business-focused stations.

📋 Logan judged the quoting station, where competitors worked through the process of calculating an hourly charge-out rate using a set of financial accounts and an NZSDA resource.
"It's encouraging to see young people thinking beyond just making great signs and developing the business skills that help build successful companies. Watching them work through the challenges and seeing those lightbulb moments was incredibly rewarding."

Congratulations to Xavier Tapp from Alexandra Images on taking out the 2026 Young Signee of the Year title and walking away with $5000.👏

The future of our industry is in great hands, and we're proud to support initiatives that invest in the next generation of sign professionals.

A couple of weeks ago, we had the privilege of attending the Western Regional Architecture Awards 2026. It was great to see so many outstanding projects recognised - and we got a real kick out of spotting Future Grafix signage on a number of the winning projects.

One that stood out was Toitū House, designed by Gibbons Architects, which won the Commercial Architecture category.

This was one of our favourite projects from last year, giving us the opportunity to deliver a wide range of signage types and techniques across a truly outstanding building.

Congratulations to Gibbons Architects on a fantastic result. Special mention to Hall of Design Ltd. for the excellent graphic work, and Clelands Construction for the exceptional ex*****on of the build👏 Thanks to Toi Foundation for the job!

As Future Grafix wasn't eligible to enter the NZ Sign Awards while Logan was serving as a judge, seeing a project we've contributed to recognised at this level in another industry is about as good as it gets.

What a privilege to attend the official opening of the new FDMC Gymnasium / Auditorium last night.

An incredible facility, and the result of years of vision, fundraising, hard work, and commitment from so many people. From the first shovel in the ground to opening night, what a journey for this College.

It was an honour to be involved in this project led by Boon Architects and Clelands Construction.

The giant shield and honours boards pictured are just a few of the many signage elements we manufactured for the project. Congratulations to everyone involved.

We will make an effort to share some more images when we have them.

That’s a wrap for 2025! 💥

As we kick back and take some much-needed time off, it’s always interesting to look back and realise just how many great projects fit into one year.

Here’s a snapshot of some of our favourite jobs from the year - work we’re proud of, for clients we’ve loved working with. ❤️

A big thank you to our incredible team, our awesome clients, and everyone who’s been part of the journey this year.
We’ve had a blast, and we can’t wait to do it all over again in 2026. 💪

In the busy lead-up to Christmas, we took a moment to pause and celebrate one of our own.

Neal has officially been part of the Future Grafix team for 10 years - the third person in our crew to reach this milestone 🥳

Neal is an incredibly skilled vehicle wrapper and an outstanding installer. More than that, he’s an integral part of our team and someone we’re genuinely grateful to work alongside.

Here’s to 10 years of craftsmanship, commitment, and great work - and hopefully another 10 to come.
