The team Smart Aggregate and Hire Smart have been working flat out to commission the new wash plant.. we also have the kit on the way to convert the big McClosky S130. We will have two wash plants running to make a massive range of products , chip and sand!

We are still holding the gate price at the quarry! Januarys prices on aggregate still current.. despite massive fuel price rises we are still holding the prices..

PRICE UPDATE THATS NOT BAD NEWS.. 26/3/26

Hello all

While the fuel is going through the roof we have elected to continue our aggregate pricing we launched in January which is on the website. We will absorb the fuel hike at the moment but will review pricing every 2 weeks and advise here if there are changes.

Everyone’s ass pocket is taking a hiding at the moment and while we cannot help with the pricing on the cartage we will hold the aggregate pricing as long as possible.

Let’s all hope for a speedy resolution in the Middle East!

There are two Fafs… one is this turkey pictured from the South Africian rugby team.. the other I’m sorry to say is just as terrible and it’s called F.A.F ( fuel adjustment factor ) the majority of trucking companies have been charging it for years but I have held off.. but regrettably we are going to have to start charging it as of Monday.. DIESEL JUMPED MORE THAN 50 CENTS today. I’ll post more details next week but the the quarry cartage, transportation of machinery etc will have FAF charged.. I dislike both of the Fafs pictured ..
