Hi, I'm Emma and I'm passionate about helping families feel supported and empowered through their journey into parenthood. I have an extensive background in Paediatric Nursing and have always loved working with the children and their families. However it was during my time working in the community that I became passionate about helping and supporting families to overcome the challenges new babies

bring. Being a mother myself to 4 gorgeous daughters, with the last two being twins I know first hand just how rewarding and challenging all rolled into one that parenthood can be! I strongly believe that every baby is different, every parent is different and there is no one ‘right’ way to do things. However with so much conflicting advice out there it can be hard to know what to do and all feel totally overwhelming at times. If your parenting journey not going as you expected. If you are pregnant and worried about how to look after your baby when they arrive or if you just want to be well informed then you are not alone and its great that you are reaching out to find a solution! I can work alongside you in your home or consult over the phone to provide nurturing solutions that are founded in education and experience. These will be centred around your parenting goals and your baby’s needs, resulting in you feeling more confident and able to enjoy this precious time with your baby.

There's an overwhelming amount of information out there for new parents and it's easy to loose sight of what your baby needs and what is best for them.

One piece of advice I give to new Mum's is read the books, listen to friends and family, flick through the internet but then
STOP and REFLECT
on what is right for YOU and YOUR family and let the other information go.

Think.....
*What is your gut feeling telling you?
*What do you already know about YOUR baby and their likes and dislikes?
*What works or is already working for you and them?

Its OK if you are doing things differently!

Baby Apps, monitors, the internet and social media generally cause you more stress than are actually helpful and they aren't tailored or personalised to your unique situation.

Trust your intuition Mothers, it's the most powerful tool you have to care for your baby! In saying that, you don't have to do it alone and we all need help and advice along the way. If you do find yourself needing some answers to the million question racing through your head, turn to someone who can offer you personalised support and guidance, who will listen to your concerns and encourage and empower you in your unique journey.

Pregnant or need help and support with your newborn? I'm here to help you with all aspects of caring for your baby in a supportive and non-judgemental way.

My passion is working alongside new Mums and Dads to help them build their confidence and feel well supported in those early weeks. My advice is is drawn from my background in paediatric nursing, community based care and early childhood training as well as having 4 children of my own. Support will be tailored and personalised to your baby and your parenting values.

"It really does take a village to raise a child and I would be privileged to be part of yours"

Parenting in a pandemic is HARD! You were not meant to parent under these conditions! The juggle is real and we are all experiencing it in different ways.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues and we are now facing another outbreak, it’s natural to be feeling anxious and uncertain about what the future holds.

For new Mums and Mums to be, it’s hard not to feel a sense of disappointment and loss at what was ment to be a time of excitement and joy shared with family and friends. Key moments in your journey like baby showers and visitors after the baby is born, coffee group catch ups and meeting other Mums now have restrictions and a sense of risk attached to them. For some, family members are unable to travel to meet their grandchildren and support the new Mum and Dad on their journey into parenthood. It’s easy to feel isolated and overwhelmed.

You were meant to be surrounded by your village who would love and care for your children as their own.
You were meant to be supported and have naps and meals brought over and be able to escape from the relentlessness of it all.
You were meant to be able to send your kids to daycare and school with confidence.
You were meant to be able to gather with family and friends and celebrate important milestones together.

So during these uncertain times it’s important to focus on the things you can control and to take care of yourself. Make sure you are doing what feels right for you and your family. There’s no right or wrong way to get through this and we are all doing our best. Talk to friends or family about how you are feeling, ask for help if you need it or connect with others who are in a similar situation to you.

Together we will get through this 💪

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and it’s something that’s important for all of us.

Take time to kōrero ♥️

Now more than ever as we deal with lockdowns and uncertainty, it’s important to reach out and talk to others about how we are feeling.

For the new Mums out there who are feeling isolated and overwhelmed, I want you to know, you are not alone and there are people out there to support you. Your village is here for you, even if we are separated in our bubbles right now.

So check in on your friends and family. Reach out to someone if you need to.

Take time to kōrero♥️

Be you 🙌 You’ve got this!
