Long over due post - whoops! 🫣

Hi everyone, we still get the odd message to ask us if we are able to quote work.

But as most of you know, we cannot as we are now living in Australia. 🇦🇺

Thanks for everyone we worked with over the 14 years of having Green Team Builders, so many awesome tradies and suppliers.

We also met some incredible clients and worked on some beautiful projects.

Wheat bag

Sanitizer
And some have a ‘boo boo’ hand pack.

We had some lovely responses it was really nice for mason to be involved as he was the reason we fundraised in the first place.

My other son, Ollie below has been very handy on the ribbons and staples, it has taken a lot of team work to get this done.

There is something I wanted to clear up, these bags were not created to give to under privilege children - as I’ve been told today - maybe I could have found a better way to give it to them’.

We as parents all have struggles, we all go through times of struggling with sick children, no sleep and maybe job stresses as we try to juggle it all.
This is for those times, this was raised for all children who visit the childrens ward at the hospital, this is to help keep the children warm and comfy while we battle COVID, colds and flu’s during the winter period - while at home.

This is our (covid free) hug, from us to you.

My Snuffles bag - for preschoolers 💕

4 years ago we fundraised $3347.60 for the local childrens ward. They had been very good to us when our first born was in and out of hospital with a cleft palate.

They had been so fortunate with funding that they didn’t need the money. We waited..We waited then, till the hospital was finished, they still not need the money.

I went to Dot (Parfit ward manager) and explained this idea, an idea to give a bit of warmth during a time when we have so much illness and struggles. They loved the idea.
THe money was being spent on helping children still and helping them while sick at home.

Dot - who retired in April, after dedicating so many years, THANK YOU 🙏

I am so thrilled we were able to bring this together at such a tricky time, I realize some children will miss out and for that i am sorry. I am greatful however that all six preschools will receive 23 bags each and the two preschools with under 2’s will receive another 10 bags especially for bubs 🥰
COVID has slowed me down in getting these out earlier, but this week they will be delivered!

Here are the list of organizations and people involved in helping this come together ❤️❤️

The Warehouse
They gave a wonderful discount and it allowed us to stretch the money further.

P.C.design NZ this amazing lady made over 70 wheat bags, basically at cost because she loved the cause ♥️♥️♥️

My aunt - Susan smith donated the rest of the bags, a wonderful lady who loves to sew ♥️❤️♥️

Unichem Olsens Pharmacy brought in all the Vicks to help our little people with coughs and donated the small bottles of Hand sanitizer - thank you! (Sorry couldn’t seem to tag you 😥)

Postie they had a great selection of sale items I was able to buy in bulk.

Countdown Supermarkets let me buy the bags for 20c, the small bag was perfect for what we needed.

A sneak peak….. 158 bags to go to our local preschools 🥹😁We ended up with extras so have ordered a few more items to use...

Had the boys earning some pocket money, and learning the ropes of a successful building site.

No 1 rule…..

Clean up! Every scrap of timber, every nail and screw and every peice of plastic wondering around in the trees.

They were such champs, we did this a few weeks ago before catching the dreaded covid.

Hope everyone is doing ok, staying healthy and surviving isolation. Sending love ❤️❤️
