Have you met Riley Cafe? ☕ Morningside's newest cosy addition! 🩵
If you’ve been wandering around the Morningside Precinct lately, you might have spotted this bright new gem over the last few months 🌟 Owner Danial has returned home to Auckland after running hospitality spots over on the Gold Coast, creating a beautiful, sun-soaked space right here on McDonald Street ☀️ With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, it’s an easy favourite for relaxing with a brew or grabbing a quick bite 🌿
The kitchen is serving up a fantastic lineup of brunch favourites built around incredible local ingredients 🍳 Photographed here is the Slammed Avo on Scratch sourdough with whipped feta, local tomatoes, a poached egg, and a drizzle of harissa 🥑 If you’re after something hearty, their Bend Benny is a total must - featuring poached eggs, bacon, spinach, and hollandaise on a classic muffin, all finished off with an in-house chilli oil and a fried onion crunch 🌶️ Another tasty standout is the High On Hash - a crispy in-house potato hash base loaded with poached eggs, bacon, whipped feta, and sauerkraut 🥔
If you're on the move, their cosy interior is packed with loads of easy grab-and-go cabinet food 🍰 To drink, they are pouring locally roasted Eighthirty Coffee Roasters coffee, alongside their signature "Riley Clouds" cold brews ☁️ Pictured is the Mont Blanc - an in-house cold brew with a splash of orange juice, topped with a vanilla-orange cloud and finished with nutmeg and orange zest 🍊 We also snapped the vibrant Strawberry Matcha Collagen Cloud - a refreshing mix of coconut water with matcha, topped with a strawberry collagen cold foam 🍓
