👏 Celebrating our people 👏

At our latest toolbox meetings, held across both our Central Otago and Southland branches, we took the opportunity to recognise some incredible achievements across the Wilson Contractors team.

At the meetings, we proudly presented long-service jackets to recognise the loyalty and commitment of team members who have reached 10, 15, and 20 years with Wilson Contractors in recent years. We are incredibly grateful for your dedication, hard work and commitment.

Alongside these milestones, we celebrated the achievements of Joseph Milford and Olivier Cossette, who successfully completed their qualifications in Pipeline Construction & Maintenance, Drinking Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater. This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of their hard work, commitment and dedication to developing their skills.

A huge thank you to everyone in our team. Your contribution, experience and commitment do not go unnoticed. Here's to many more milestones together!

🚧 Hiring: Experienced Drainlayer / Water Reticulation Operator 🚧

Want to work on some of Queenstown and Otago's leading civil projects?

Wilson Contractors is looking for an experienced Drainlayer or Water Reticulation Operator to join our growing team.

You’ll be involved in a variety of projects, including:
• Watermain installations
• Stormwater and wastewater drainage
• Subdivision and infrastructure works
• Civil construction projects throughout Queenstown and Otago

We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Has proven drainage and/or water reticulation experience
✔ Is a qualified or experienced Drainlayer, or has completed Pipeline and Construction training
✔ Has experience in electrofusion and/or butt welding (preferred)
✔ Can read plans and work efficiently on site
✔ Takes pride in quality workmanship
✔ Is safety focused, reliable, and a team player
✔ Holds a NZ Class 1 licence (WTR and Class 2 advantageous)

Safety is our top priority👷‍♂️

This week, our team took part in a training session with Phil from PowerNet, upskilling on the risks of working around power lines, underground cables, and electrical infrastructure. Special thanks to PowerNet for the session and support!

This week, our health and safety business partner Phil hosted a training session with the team from Wilson Contractors 2003 Ltd . The team were upskilling themselves on the risks when working around power lines, underground cables and other electrical infrastructure. Being aware of the potential risks and knowing what to do when something goes wrong helps keep everybody safe. Big thanks to Wilson Contractors for taking a proactive approach.
