Overseeing the progress of a project which our team has been involved in since the early stages of planning, alongside a great project team.

From a QS perspective, these visits are key to accurately assessing progress, particularly when completing monthly claims and it’s always rewarding to see a project transition from numbers on a spreadsheet into reality.

Last Friday our Queenstown team took their lunch break outside, heading out for a couple of rounds of lawn bowls to make the most of the warm days before winter arrives.

Congratulations to our senior QS Darren for taking out the win on the day leading with precision and the highest overall score.🏆

Thanks to the Queenstown Bowling Club for having us, our team had a great time.

Project highlight 🏗️

Located on the hill overlooking the lake Wakatipu, this complicated and high spec project is now nearing completion and it’s so rewarding to witness the original concept coming to reality.

Led by our Senior QS Sam Taylor, our involvement with this project began at the early stages of Tendering and evolved into full project administration throughout the build. This included processing monthly payment claims, managing variations and agreement of final account.

On the 18th February Nick Howell’s brother, Phil, embarked on an incredibly inspiring mission, one that all of us at QUBE are honored to support.

Phil is undertaking a 1,500km cycle trip down the entire length of the South Island - from Picton to Bluff. He is doing this to raise funds and awareness for his partner Farley, who is fighting a brain tumour.

The latest edition of Business South Magazine features a great article on the recent expansion of Onsen Hot Pools & Day Spa - a project our team was proudly involved with since early 2024, from the estimating phase all the way through to final completion, which was led by our senior QS Campbell Liddell.

Collaboration with clients and the entire team was crucial for delivering this project while keeping the business operational during the construction period.
