Granted by Independent Commissioners
Patch has been working with this client since early 2019. After working through several iterations of a potential future subdivision design and a bit of stop and go, our client finally ‘pulled the trigger’ and decided to go for it! Our client listened to our advice, didn’t seek to ‘push the boat out’ and our design and recommendations guided his proposal. They persevered through the notification and hearing process, facing several neighbouring submitters. Patch presented evidence at a hearing and the decision was issued this week in favour of the proposal.
Central to our support of the proposal was the provision to plant 11,791 indigenous plants in parts of the site which will serve to enhance natural character and biodiversity values while better highlighting the natural landforms, such as a terrace riser and ephemeral stream.
Overall the commissioner on the landscape evidence of Steve Skelton, Patch’s directer and approved the subdivision and establishment of building platforms on this large rural site southwest of Hawea.
