90 years young and still chasing the perfect Pinot 🍷

Central Otago pioneer Alan Brady planted the first vines in Gibbston in 1981, helping shape a w**e region now renowned around the world. After founding three w**eries and putting his 21st Wild Irishman vintage into barrel, Alan remains driven by the same goal: crafting w**es that truly reflect their place.

“Humility is the key to understanding the message from the terroir.”

A lifetime dedicated to Pinot Noir, a legacy of innovation, and a reminder that there’s always more to learn. 🍇✨

After 10 incredible years at Kinross, our Head Chef Pete is hanging up his Kinross apron and heading off on his next adventure.

Pete has been a huge part of Kinross over the past decade, we’re incredibly grateful for everything he has brought to Kinross, and while we’re very sad to see him go, we’re excited for what comes next for him.

We’re now looking for our next Head Chef to lead the Kinross kitchen and write the next chapter with us.

This is a rare opportunity for someone to make the role their own, creating seasonal menus, championing great local produce, working alongside some of Central Otago’s brilliant w**es and leading a fantastic kitchen team.

If you’re an experienced chef looking for a new challenge, or you know someone who might be perfect for Kinross, we’d love to hear from you.

Come lead the next chapter of food at Kinross: https://employmenthero.com/nz/jobs/position/kinross-nz-head-chef-18by9/

Just Central Otago showing off again, as it should. Come for the w**e, stay for the views.

A few exciting changes are happening here at Kinross.

This week, we're carefully transplanting our Gewürztraminer vines as we make way for a brand new, larger car park. It's a big step in creating an even better experience for everyone who visits us.

While things are changing behind the scenes, your visit won't be.

Our Cellar Door is open, the Bistro is serving lunch and your favourite w**es are still flowing. We've planned everything to keep disruption to a minimum, so you can settle in, relax and enjoy your visit just as you
always would.

We can't wait to welcome you and show you what's still to come.

The glass matters more than you might think.

Watch as Thomas explains how the shape of your w**e glass, and whether it has a stem or not, can transform the way you experience your favourite w**es.
