The ultimate winter sale at Kaahu’s Nest is ON — 10am–4pm, Saturday 5th + Sunday 6th.

Everything you can fit in a bag (actually — pillowcase) for $5.

We’ll provide the pillowcase, you fill it with winter warmers. Jumpers, jackets, woollies, scarves, hats — whatever you can squeeze in!

First in, first served, all weekend. We’ll be set up in the Education Room. It’s going to be 🪩🕺

Only two days until our ReWorks: Pretty fly for a DIY... event and we want to see your faces there! So much so, we’ve brought Louis in to deliver the important details (and puns)

Whether you’ve used powertools or not (clearly I haven’t 😂), want to build something new, finish an existing project or just want to get creative with an epic crew — join us.

Thanks to our amazing friends at the Tool Library all tools and materials (from our DIY yard) will be provided! We’ve also got ticket options for our timebankers too!

❄️The ultimate winter sale at Kaahu’s Nest is HERE! ❄️

Everything you can fit in a bag (actually- pillowcase) . $5. This weekend. All weekend.

We’ll provide the pillowcase, you fill it with winter warmers. Jumpers, jackets, woollies, scarves, hats — whatever you can squeeze in.

$5 for the whole bag. No catches. Lots of warmth and some great finds.

First in, first served, all weekend. From 10am on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th. 🙌

Kia Ora! She’s windy today! 💨

Due to the high winds, please be aware that we may not be able to accept drop-offs of certain materials this afternoon, including:

- Corrugated iron
- Windows
- Doors
- Gib/plasterboard
- Other large or lightweight items that may be affected by the wind.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding!

Just a wee collections update ♻️

Due to the road works this morning, we weren’t able to complete our normal kerbside collections along part of Wallace Street (62 - 80 approximately)

We’ll try to swing back around tomorrow to get these missed collections.

In the meantime, if you’re able to, feel free to bring your recycling up to the site.

Thanks for your patience while the road works are underway!

We’ve got some special, majestic new residents up on site. 🐦

The kererū have been nesting right beside Kaahu’s Nest and what an absolute treat. . These magnificent manu choosing to nest here through the crisp winter days feels like a pretty special sign that the pest control efforts are creating a place where they feel safe. Thank you Karioi Project 🙏

We’re updating our range of winter woollies - jumpers and jackets with new stock daily, and we’ve got a 2 for 1 deal on jumpers and winter warmers currently! Come and see us.

How is it August already?! Alas… it’s about time we did another photo dump of the last few months at Xtreme — huge momentum, brilliant humans, and a whole lot happening. 📸

A huge thank you to Michelle Neilson from the Electoral Commission and the wonderful Michelle and Lara from Raglan Naturally, for hosting a hui for our Xtreme staff, making sure we are enrolled to vote at this years election.

It was epic to see all our crew so engaged. Our voices as humans are so powerful. Now more than ever.

Here’s a few shots from yesterday morning! …Unfortunately we couldn’t enroll our non- human staff ;our robo-Porter BUT we gave him a badge so he didn’t feel left out!

Pretty fly for a… DIY 💅♻️

We’re always talking about the treasures coming into Kaahu’s Nest every day, but our DIY Den deserves some SERIOUS praise on that front too.

Wish we could double the pun and say we’ve got everything “except the kitchen sink”… but alas, chances are — we have that too. As well as scooters, roofing materials, furniture in all forms, a seriously elaborate bath, nerf guns, doors, a smiling Matua (stoked to be featured in the reel 😂) - you get the gist.

So before darting over the hill, come and have a hunt in the yard. We love seeing your DIY/ upcycling projects as well!
