Wondering what size water tank is right for your home? It all starts with your roof area!

A simple rule to remember:
1mm of rain on 1m² of roof = 1 litre of water collected

That means even a small rainfall can fill up your tank faster than you think. For example, a 100m² roof with 25mm of rain can collect around 2,500 litres of water!

Choosing the right tank size depends on:
Your roof area
Average rainfall in your area
How much water your household uses

The bigger the roof and the more rain you get, the more water you can store for gardens, livestock, household use, or backup supply.
