Breathe life back into your used wheels by having them re-grooved!

Re-grooving is a method of re-machining roller skate wheels. It extends the life of the wheels by restoring the shape and surface.

Turnaround time: 3-4 working days
Cost: Set of 8 - $30 + postage

UPON SENDING US YOUR WHEELS YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THE FOLLOWING
* Wheel regrooving is intended as a last resort for wheels that are due to be replaced.
* Not recommended for hybrid wheels or wheels that are too soft, i.e. under 88A.
* The process reduces diameter of the wheel by approx 1mm.
* While our re-grooving may correct minor flat spots, it is not designed to correct large flat spots.
* While damage to your wheel is highly unlikely, we do not offer any guarantee against wheel damage and offer no warrantee or refunds on part or fully re-grooved wheels.
* Extreme age, damage and over-exposure to extreme environments may impact ideal results from wheel re-grooving.
* Only useful for indoor roller skate wheels.
* Your postage cost will not be refunded if for unforeseen circumstances your wheels cannot be re-grooved.
* Wheels will be returned within 72 hours after receiving them as we live in a rural area so are not close to a daily postal service.

Fun fact: when we ReGrip a 62 x 38mm wheel, the strand of urethane that is cut off is 5 meters long!

We did a couple of sets of wheels this week, both so worn out and now, fresh as! One set were my Rollerbones Turbos which have been worn down a fair bit and have been horrible to skate on in our slippery gym! But on Monday night, I felt far more in control and my plows had way more resistance. Mean!

Haven't uploaded a photo for a while but check these beauties out. Pretty rough to start with, but as you can see the ReGrip process brings them up like new again.

This is the second set of wheels we've done for Past Her Belz who is now back in Auckland skating with the Pirates. Happy skating Belz, SCSR miss you!

A mix of Heartless wheels were dealt to at ReGrip last night and came up mint! Including the Stalkers which we've had issues with in the past.

A few of these wheels had small metal shards embedded in them, they were pretty well worn and their owner was about to throw them away!

Now they're tidied up and ready for action again. $20 a set is a pretty cheap way to breathe some life back into those expensive skate wheels before upgrading to new :-)

Last week we had a set of these Heartless Stalker 88a wheels that wouldn't regroove. This week we have the same wheel type regrooving perfectly. But check out the change in the makeup of them. The dark area regrooves sweet as like any other brand of 88a, and the greyer area isn't such a clean cut - likely due to a change in hardness! Weird! First Wheeled Problems at ReGrip!

We're going to be at the Whakatāne Roller Derby League's three way with Sulphur City Steam Rollers next weekend as both teams take on DD - Dunedin Derby's Bonnie Brawlers.

Wheels, wheels, wheels! Four sets for regrooving sent from a customer down country.

Unfortunately the black and yellow set couldn't be regrooved but the others came out totally mint! This occasionally happens with some wheel brands, I think we've had it twice so far so it's pretty good odds as we've done hundreds of wheels now!

We have a permanent deal for multiple sets of wheels sent from the same customer of pay for three sets and we'll do one for free. So get a group together and get in touch :-)
