Tenco Limited own small forest harvest operations well underway for summer 2022 located in the Rangitikei district. Stand harvested with a high proportion of pruned and structural sawlog heading to local domestic mills.

Oversized KIO 3.9 log volume sold in to Korea 🇰🇷 recently loaded aboard the deck of the MV Xing Ning Hai 🚢yesterday at Port Nelson. The Xing Ning Hai bound to Tauranga to load her remaining Korea deck cargo volume, hatch 5 partially covered 😜👍.

KIO 3.9 Korea log volume is effectively oversized KI 3.9 grade volume with a minimum SED of 600mm plus.

A change of scene from the port, to a supplier crew site visit North of Matamata yesterday. Crew harvesting some large Redwood with some radiata trees. Redwood was impressive, meeting a Korea SUPA A grade log specification cut at 3.7 metres, delivered to Port of Tauranga.

Tenco is well established buyer of NZ radiata export volume but also minor species volume for export 🌲🚢. Top of the minor species shopping list🌲🛒is Macrocarpa / Lusitanica / Redwood and Douglas fir. There is other minor species Tenco actively purchases as well, which can be priced upon application.

Sawn lumber packets received and unloaded at Port of Tauranga in preparation to be containerised. Packets are bound for Singapore and Thailand respectively.

TENCO does not only export New Zealand raw round logs break bulk shipping 🚢🌲. We also export sawn lumber packets from local domestic mills as kiln dried (KD) or green sawn (GS) grade lumber.

Sawn lumber container shipment is predominately done by 40' ( foot ) containers are used for economy & HC (High Cube) preferred. Both Kiln Dried (K/D) and Green Sawn (G/S) lumber can be shipped volumes of lumber vary with gross overall weight constraints for 40’ ( foot ) containers:

Gross 40' container maximum loaded weights are just over 30 tonnes

Kiln Dried (KD) lumber volumes range between 40 and 45m3
Green Sawn (G/S) lumber volumes range between 32 and 36m3.

Common Sizes; 100x75mm, 100x90mm, 100x100mm, 100x150mm. Common lengths sorted into S/L (Select length) packets; 3.6m, 4.2m, 4.8m, 5.4m & 6.0m

A wide range of shipping companies serve the New Zealand – Asia trade routes. A large number of New Zealand Ports are container-capable.

Devanning (unloading a container) can take place at the overseas customer's chosen terminal or at their own facility or warehouse.

TENCO can advise on economical and practical methods to unload sawn lumber from containers.
