I ran my Clarity & Priorities workshop on Tuesday, and Iโve been reflecting on it since.
A big thanks to the Stratford Business Association for putting the event on, and to Amelie Moncel Coaching & Consulting for her workshop beforehand on Confidence for Working Mums. It was great to work together in the lead-up and on the day.
I have a real passion for women in business and leadership - actually, for women in general. They make the world go round, and thereโs real power in women supporting women ๐ค
What stood out most in my session was the focus in the room. Everyone showed up ready to think and engage, and it created a really positive space. There were some incredible people in that room, and I felt really privileged to be able to lead them through the session.
We could have gone longer, easily. Time was the biggest constraint, and it meant there wasnโt as much opportunity for people to share with each other as there could have been.
There was a moment where one participant had a real breakthrough and came back to a quote weโd talked about:
โIt is not enough to be busy. So are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?โ
That seemed to land, alongside some really simple things like clearing the noise, calendar blocking, understanding priorities, and putting themselves back at the centre of it all.
What I found interesting was how similar priorities kept coming up once the noise was cleared. Different lives, but a lot of common ground in what actually matters.
The intention was to give people a process they can come back to - something practical to help clear the noise, work out what matters, and start making it fit into real life.
I hope they keep going with it, especially as they think about what the next 60 days could look like. That takes us to the halfway point of the year (can you believe it), and sets them up well for the rest of it.
For me, it was a reminder of how willing people are to share when the space is right, and how much value there is in learning from each other. I just wish weโd had more time for that.
And I genuinely loved it. This is the kind of work I really enjoy - creating space for people to think properly and seeing it click ๐ก
If you were there, thank you! It was fantastic working with you.
Iโll definitely be running more of these. Watch this space ๐
