Matangi Factory's very own resident builder Les Port leading the ANZAC dawn service this morning in his official uniform, spotted by a Matangi School student ambassador, Freya.

They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun

We will remember them.

Our team on site has been busy these last few weeks, restoring and preparing these old cottages, which came in from Napier, in varying states of repair, and need some love.
Lastly are a few shots of one of the cottages on site fully restored, and occupied, to give an impression of the finished article.

Theyll make a great addition to the historic collection, here at the factory, once fully refurbished.

This little beaut arrived on site the other night.... another gem to add to the collection-a 1920s's cottage originally located on a farm in Te Awamutu.

Here at the factory, part of the challenge is reusing/recycling materials.

These glass balustrades were relocated from the pacific apartments, in Mount Mauganui, and have been refurbished over the last few weeks, to fit our new deck on the old laboratory building on site, which has been given a facelift, over the last 12 months.

This week we have been carrying out some maintenance on the old Glaxo building- the heart of our heritage site.

New fascia, and guttering ti be installed, soon.

Great to see this old gem getting a facelift.
