This incredible stallion & Samantha McIntosh were destined for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 when COVID put the breaks on the dream team representing New Zealand there. Check In II was retired to stud in Belgium & now his semen is available here for the first time.
This talented stallion has proven his qualities in many 5* classes, World Cup, and World Equestrian Games under the saddle of Samantha McIntosh!
His sire, Cordalmé Z, won Nation Prizes with Gilbert Böckmann. Among his 13 licensed sons, Couleur Rubin stands out in particular. Belgium bred Corfu’s breeder, Eric Goosens, went to great lengths to have then 23 year old Hera bred to Cumano who was only and scarcely available through frozen semen.
The big-framed c**t underwent an excellent development from the time he was presented for pre-selection to the actual Neumunster stallion grading. In late summer very tall, but not very muscular, Corfu had beefed up to international youngster calibre for the grading. The Cumano son’s most outstanding point are his big frame, his strong top-line and his correct legs. The stallion’s tremendous jumping ability is particular impressive. Despite his height, he is an agile jumper with very good reactions. His quality canter is of particular importance for a future show jumping career.
Considerations for breeding
In view of his own sire Cumano as well as his high quality dam line, Corfu should make a good sire as well. With just a minimal amount of Cor de la Bryère blood and due to his special body structure and exceptional jumping ability he is suited to breed many mares in our studbook in a bid to improve height, size, and ability in their produce.

Considerations for Breeding by Sebastian Rohde�Corfu carries traditional, proven, archetypical Holsteiner genes. In spite of his ancestors’ “old age” Corfu has sired very good foals on the selected mare basis. Observations have shown that Corfu has a very positive influence on modern and lighter mares, as he adds not only frame and size, but also jumping ability. His special personality suggests his offspring to be very clever horses.

Dinken steps into the limelight time and again with well above average offspring: he has champion foals and his rate of premium foals is about 90 percent. Strong and powerful with a medium frame, Dinken’s pedigree assembles all major performance sires of the last decades. A rare succession of world class sires with Diamant de Semilly, Cassini I, Caretino and Marlon TB in the first generations, in the background secured by Le Tot de Semilly, Corrado I, Contender, Lord, Ramiro, Capitol I and several crosses to sire extraordinaire, Caletto II – this is Dinken’s pedigree.
Considerations for breeding
Dinken stands in particular for ambition, quality jumping with good reactions and willingness to perform and passes on these qualities with great reliability. His foals have sufficient chic and movement to be awarded premium status at above average rates. The success of his sport horse offspring shows that he is evolving into a performance sire.
Dinken performed impressively during 30-day testing. With his jumping ability judged 9.0, his jumping breeding value was estimated at 134 points. During the 2015 season, Dinken achieved many very good results under Jonas Panje. He won several young horse jumping classes at L level and was highly placed in young horse jumping classes at M* level. The combination also qualified for the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf. In 2016, Dinken competed in young horse jumping classes to M level with great success.
He qualified for the Warendorf Bundeschampionat again and won the Elmshorn six-year-old Holsteiner Jumping Horse State Championship. A severe tendon injury ended Dinken’s sport horse career.

Dinken’s foal crops are particularly impressive: as they present themselves with excellent type, vigorous and with outstanding movement, it is not surprising that 91 percent of his foals registered with the Holsteiner Verband in 2024 were inspected in the premium range. In 2023, a Dinken daughter won the filly class of the Lienen foal championship.

Just to mention some of Stakkato’s world-famous offspring: Spartacus TN, Souvenir, Satisfaction I Filou de Muze and many other Grand Prix showjumpers. Grandsire Escudo I has also proven to be a valuable sire in Germany and Starpower’s dam Enjoy is no one less than the full sister to El Paso, who jumped at international level with both Markus Beerbaum and Daniel Heuer.
