Ahhh....it's the simple things in life that often bring the greatest joy. I've been having trouble with my overlocker stitch for, like, ages. No amount of tension adjusting seemed to work. Finally arranged Gary from InStitches (Motueka) to pop in this morning. Turns out it was a simple fix (make sure your machine threads are well in the tension holder). Voila! So pleased to have these machine maintenance services handy. They were a dying breed for a long time. Please feedback via comments to this post if you have someone you recommend (please add your location) to help others.

Final day of the Quilt Festival here in Motueka today. We have met a lot of quilters from all over the region and the country.

Lots of memories brought back looking at the older sewing machines, such great stories.

We just Love finding original documents in old machine cases.
This fabulous Husqvarna machine was purchased in 1967 for £61 and is still going strong today.
