What I love doing in my job is to teach our young kids how to hunt safely and how to fly fish our beautiful rivers. Its a great skill to learn.
I was taught long ago and it's time I give some back.

Got myself a new toy. A savage Bmag in a 17wsm format. Tried a few shots on 100m after sighting her in.
The 20 grain bullet flies with 3000ft per second..the fastest rimfire in the world. No recoil.

Love it...

It has been a while since my last post. It has been till now that I have felt comfortable and confident enough to guide. I broke my back end of July last year and it took all that time to recover.

But what a great weekend it was to start again with the Wilson family.

Had harry and Toby out for a half day fly fishing on the Hinimaiaia. We did have rain for a couple days which brought the river level up and some fish back in. Toby landed his first ever rainbow trout. He hooked 3 good fish..not bad a for an 11 yo. Harry had a real good go at it and missed some good strikes. He seems to enjoy his brothers catch. Great to see kids enjoying our outdoors and reap the rewards.
