Today is World Farmers’ Day, a chance to recognise the people behind our food, fibre and rural communities.
Farming is at the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand, but it can also be a dangerous place to work. Too many farmers, workers and whānau are still affected by serious harm on farm.
Getting the basics right really matters, like using farm vehicles safely, keeping track of hazardous substances, and making sure machinery is safe to use.
We all want the same thing: for everyone to get home safe at the end of the day. Learn more on our website: https://www.worksafe.govt.nz/topic-and-industry/agriculture/
