NZTA Guidance on B-pillar cracks in motorhomes

The NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is issuing guidance on B-pillar cracks for New Zealand-manufactured motorhomes built on the following base vehicles:

2006–2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 906155 and 907155
2007–2017 Volkswagen Crafter 50 2FL2

What owners need to do
If you own one of these vehicles, you will need to have the B-pillar cracks repaired. You will need to seek advice from your vehicle's NZ motorhome manufacturer for the appropriate repair, as this will likely be model-specific.

To give vehicle owners time to complete the cosmetic repairs, these vehicles won’t be failed at certificate of fitness (CoF) inspection until 1 November 2026.

All information is available on the NZTA website; Guidance on B pillar cracks.
