Completed a small repair on block driveway today, blocks had sunk after customer had some renovations done with heavy trucks back and fore. Layed a new sand/mortar base for blocks to sit on, raising them back to their original heigh. Turned out really good.

Another big section almost complete and it looks really good. Applied a paving lock product to the section I laid on Friday, so this should lock everything nice and tight.

3 more sections completed yesterday, with one small section to go before driveway fully restored.

Started the second part of laminate floor repairs today. Floor around kitchen and dinning room table was in bad condition and flooring pinned under kitchen cabinetry, stopping it from moving.

Cut out a few of the bad planks to give me a start, once these were removed, plain sailing getting the remainder of planks out. All planks which went under the cabinets, were cut flush and all new boards were installed with a expansion gap around the edges. Will fit a decorative trim around base boards when work is complete.

Completed the dining area floor yesterday, really transformed this space.

Repaired some damaged, sagging hardy board soffit this week. Massive build up of debris above from birds nests that had caused the sagging! Replaced with Dynex Upvc soffit, which is easy to work with and looks fantastic.

Completed a vinyl click flooring repair today. Whoever installed this had no clue how these floating floors work, as edging strips had been nailed down through the planks, planks butted up to plaster boards with no gaps, and any areas that had gaps was filled with silicone - yikes. No wonder the floor has seperated in many places. Also looks like the installer has cut planks with a box cutter (or something similar) and damaged the surface of many planks - looked like a pork joints crackling that was ready for the oven 🤣

Had to dismantle the floor to get at the damaged planks and then slide new ones into place. Patience is the name of the game with these type of jobs. End result looked great, so customer vety happy.

Started a small vinyl plank flooring job today. Ripped out old carpet and underlay plus all the skirting. Planned the layout and got stuck into it. Typically, the weather turned nasty in the afternoon and cutting planks in the driving rain wasn't much fun! Got several rows done, and fitted the carpet to vinyl transition strip under the door to remove any trip hazards with carpet. Back tomorrow to finish up.

Floor all finished with new skirting boards installed. Looks great.

Just completed a crazy paving patio for a customer. They had lots of paving odds and sods, so wanted to use them up to create a hard standing by their clothes line area. This was an off the cuff design, which worked out pretty good.

On the last part of the project doing repairs on a house that's up for sale. Removed all the weathered cladding in preparation for adding new cladding next week. Fitted a temporary weather sheet to prevent any rain damage.

Insulation installed today, followed by build wrap weather-resistant barrier. All ready for cladding now.

Cladding coming along nicely after installing a couple of window header flashing. Should be finished in a day or so.

Last of the cladding fitted this week, just waiting for trims, which are on back order, so I can complete the job. Looks bloody good though, well happy with finished result.

Cladding completed and porch down pipes secured in place.

My project today is making shelving and kitchen cabinets from surplus ply wood a customer had left over from another project. Coming along nicely.

Also fabricated a few shelves for bedroom.

Cupboard installed, but then I found out they needed a box for their ran6g hood built as well. Got that made over weekend and installed today, all looks fab. Designed range hood with a false front that can be removed for easy maintenance access.

Completed a small plastering job this week, where customer had a new doorway installed in hallway. Bare gib walls butted up to existing painted walls so had to feather in the edges and add ceiling coving alongside existing. Really happy with end result.
