I live in a cute little tiny house on an avocado orchard in the country. Im self employed with no team so I work from home, right?
Wrong.
It really is as serene as it sounds. The nature, the outlook, the peace and quiet to concentrate. It’s everything I thought I needed from a work/home environment.
But f**k me, was I wrong.
I can’t work from there. When I’m there alone, trying to be creative, trying to be the “visionary” for my life and business all I feel is suffocated.
Claustrophobic even. Which is so unhinged because honestly it’s a pretty expansive place to be!
But what I learnt recently is that the environments I thrive in, that are aligned *for me*, are the ones where two worlds meet ~ where the horizon meets the sea, the town meets the country, the ocean meets the shore….
And when I’m in those environments ideas flow, I communicate clearly, I feel grounded and in alignment. My work is easy.
So while I wait to manifest that dream house on the beach (so I really can “work from home”) I work from the boot of my car.
And honestly, even though I’m more “productive” than ever it never actually feels like work.
