Well what a ride!
The crew are still buzzing after taking on the 2026 TranzALPINE scooter safari last weekend which saw 250 riders take on a grueling 250km ride over the southern alps on 50cc scooters in its 10th year to raise funds for the Cancer society.
The dragon got slayed one way or another!
After performing flawlessly on stages 1 - 3 our 1975 Honda Chaly developed some issues unfortunatly not quite making Hokitika, forcing us to pull out the backup scooter for the final stage which Danica triumphantly rode to the finish!
You couldn't miss our bright green dragon and was a crowd favorite receiving a lot of laughs and comments along the way leading to it taking out the best dressed scooter award!..............................................And yes the tail made it intact!
A huge shout out to all of you that donated to such a worthy cause.
Our total this year came to $2166 contributing to the $370,000 plus that the event has raised for 2026!
Thanks to all the volunteers and organizers for putting on such a great event.
Also a massive thankyou to Bevan Cunningham for lending us his van and Grant Ramage for the use of his trailer and mechanical support leading up to the event.
Lastly the winning donator to receive the $100 voucher from the legends at EAT Cafe Fairlie is....................Geoff & Karen!
(Lindsay will be in touch)
See you in 2028!
