people love to say “people don’t want to work anymore,” but let’s be honest..people just don’t want to work for crumbs. we don’t want to give away our health, our sleep, our sanity, or our families for paychecks that barely keep the lights on.
mothers are missing time at home with their kids. missing first steps, first words, bedtime routines just to sit in a corporate position working for people who couldn’t care less about her. fathers are doing the same thing. missing games, dinners, bath time, quiet moments, because being present doesn’t pay the bills in this system.
and then we’re told to be grateful. grateful for long hours, unpaid overtime, constant availability, and jobs that replace us without a second thought. corporations don’t love us back. they don’t care about our burnout, our mental health, or the fact that our kids are growing up without us around.
so no. people aren’t lazy. they’re exhausted. they’re waking up to the fact that life shouldn’t be spent grinding for companies that profit while families struggle. we don’t want less work, we want fair pay, respect, and time with the people we’re actually working for.
but sure… keep calling it laziness.
