This will affect our network as well.
UPDATE: This work has been postponed. Telecommunications company Chorus had been hoping to get the permanent fix in place ahead of the potentially poor weather forecast for next week, but the temporary fix has performed well through the last two weather events and they have decided think it's more important to give the community time to plan and prepare before any further disruption, especially with the potential impact on 111 services.
Their technicians will continue to closely monitor the temporary fix, especially in the lead-up to next week’s forecasted wet weather. They’ll also use this additional time to explore any further steps they can take to reduce disruption and ease concerns for the community.

Chorus has advised they are implementing the permanent solution for the fibre across Lindsays Bridge Tākaka, this Thursday from 11pm.
Unfortunately, during this time, they don’t have the ability to intercept 111 calls at the Tākaka Exchange, so the Golden Bay community will not be able to call 111 between midnight and 1am while the circuits are cut over to the permanent cable.
If you have any questions about this, please reach out to Chorus.
