🌸 SPRING IS HERE! 🌸

After what has been a pretty tough winter for some people, we thought we’d spread a little kindness and help where we can. ❤️

Today, we headed out to Erin in Taihape to help with a pest control treatment — and we’re happy to say that the treatment itself is completely FREE and on us! 🐭🕷️🐜

Erin only needs to cover the travel costs, and the treatment we carried out today is our little way of helping out and giving something back to the community.

Spring is a fresh start, and we reckon a little kindness goes a long way. ☀️

I've purchased five $20 New World gift cards to help some of my customers who were affected by the large earthquake in Taumarunui.

If you received one yesterday or today, I hope it's helped in some small way during this difficult time. It's just a small way that Bug Doctor wanted to give back and help our community.

📢 Payment Terms Update

To keep our terms fair, transparent, and up to date, Bug Doctor has made some changes to our payment policy, effective immediately, due to an increase of over due invoices.

For the vast majority of our customers who pay their invoices on time, nothing changes.

Our updated payment terms include:
✅ Payment is due within 31 days of the invoice date.

✅ A $15 monthly administration fee may apply to overdue accounts to help cover the costs of recovering unpaid invoices.

✅ Interest on overdue invoices will be charged at the applicable annual rate determined using the Ministry of Justice civil debt interest calculator, calculated daily from the due date until full payment is received.

✅ Accounts that remain unpaid for 3 months may be referred to EC Credit Control or filed with the Disputes Tribunal. Where recoverable by law, customers may also be responsible for the actual costs incurred in recovering the debt.

These changes have been made to ensure our payment terms are fair, reasonable, and consistent with current debt recovery practices.

As always, if you're experiencing financial hardship, please get in touch before your payment is due. We're happy to discuss a suitable payment arrangement where possible.

🎉 Happy 3rd Birthday to Bug Doctor! 🎉

Three years ago today, I took a leap of faith and started Bug Doctor. My very first invoice was actually in Otorohanga, and I never imagined where this journey would lead.

After spending two years working for a large pest control company, I saw how much overheads go into running a big business.

That's one of the reasons I started Bug Doctor. By keeping my business lean, with lower overheads and no layers of high management salary, I'm able to keep my prices as fair and affordable as possible without compromising on quality.

I also know pest control can be expensive, so I offer flexible payment plans to help make it more affordable for customers.

📈 **The journey so far:
• Year 1– Built Bug Doctor from the ground up.
• Year 2 – Grew by 121%.
• Year 3 – Grew by another 33%.
• This financial year – Just over 3 months in and already on track for another record year.

Based on the current pace, we're projecting another year of growth, and there's still more than three quarters of the financial year to go!

Looking back at how far Bug Doctor has come in just three years is something I'm incredibly proud of, and none of it would have been possible without the support of so many people.

A special thank you to Cheryl for all of the business ideas and advice when I was setting up Bug Doctor, Stu for all of the behind-the-scenes graphic design work, and Nicole for helping streamline my website. Your support has made a huge difference.

I'm incredibly grateful to have reached 142 active monthly rodent control customers and 190 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews. These are milestones I'm really proud of, and I couldn't have done it without the amazing support and trust from all of my customers.

Those 142 active rodent customers include 78 in the Wellington region and 64 spread across other areas as far north as Taupō.
It's been awesome to see Bug Doctor continue to grow across the lower North Island.

A little surprise this winter ❄️
I know many families are feeling the pinch with the rising cost of living, especially during winter.
