After a lot of mind bending consideration, thinking and consulting, ive decided a few changes are best for Brick Engaged and the Brick Engaged foundation.

Firstly, the bus… oh the bus. Great idea, a lot harder to execute than I imagined. It will take years of applying for grants to get the thing fit for purpose.. so I’m selling it. The money will be put back into the charity, and after the small loan (needed to buy it) is repaid the rest of the funds will be used to provide services to NDV kids in schools in 2026. The expenditure will meet the requirements of the charity in its use. I’m sorry to everyone that help get the bus this far.. but it’s better to get boots on the ground and do the work rather than hang about for years trying to get it going.

2nd.. Brick Engaged has purchased a van. The intent in 2026 is to offer and deliver LEGO based programs in Schools around the greater Wellington region. This will include, educational, skill learning and competency based learning using LEGO as the core teaching/learning tool. I’m hoping to follow that up with STEAM specific focuses as well. While these programs will be user pays for the schools the value propositions are high as I can be in front of larger groups of students. I’m hopeful this will provide an avenue to conduct the more specialist sessions with neurodivergent kids either subsidised or funded by the charity.

At this stage I do intend to continue with the after school programs as they are near capacity and the kids are still having a great time.

Thank you all for your continued support and everything we have achieved this far. 2026 and beyond should open new doors for many and the reach we can make will be greater.

The reason why no holiday programme this term. Poppy had 11 pupps today. 2 girls, 9 boys. All doing well. Poppy has been a superstar. We're all resting now.

The sessions are designed to provide meaningful interaction, life and social skill development and support for young neurodivergent people.

This amazing group of people who displayed at the very first Brick Engaged Foundation LEGO show over the weekend of 15/16th March 2025 helped fundraise over five thousand dollars towards purchasing the Brick Bus. Thank you team.

Good news team, we have a Brick Bus... Brick Engaged Foundation has purchased this bus and is excited to start the process of converting it and setting it up for service in the future! The hard work has just begun... we will be applying for grants and fundraising for the overhaul. Follow along to see the progress as we transform this tired looking bus into an amazing mobile creative learning space.

It was a massive weekend for the first ever "let's get a Brick Bus' fundraiser LEGO Show last weekend. We had nearly 2000 visitors through the doors all enjoying the displays and interactive play and sales areas. After all costs the show rasied Just over $5000 to put towards the 'Brick Bus'.

We are currently looking at a bus located in Lower Hutt, but are still $2000 short. If you can help in any way possible, please donate too..
