Weโ€™ll be at Ruakฤkฤ Beach on Saturday 31 January 2026 to listen to your thoughts and help you make a submission. Find us from 10:00am until 3:00pm near the Ruakฤkฤ Surf Lifesaving Club (pictured below).

This updated bylaw needs to keep people safe, protect the environment, and reduces nuisance by managing where and how vehicles can be used on beaches across the Whangฤrei District.

We would really love some more entries. Decorate a Bike or a Car or get your Friends and Whanau together and enter your creation. These three categories are a little light on entries so your chances of winning are fairly good at this stage - just sayin!
