Come and pick up preloved, in need of love, and perfectly loveable items for a fraction of the retail price
Every Saturday 9am - 4pm

Retail shop open every second Saturday of each month, 9am - 1pm

Wairau and Tamaki Zero Waste Hubs, working with Auckland Council and Waste Management to divert resources from landfill and getting them to those who need them. We receive the inorganics collections across Tamaki Makaurau and make the reusable items available for various community organisations, including but not limited to social workers, men's sheds, art groups, and organisations sending containers of goods to the Pacific Islands. From August 2023, both Hubs will have a community recycling centre and shop open to the general public where you can come and pick up preloved items for the fraction of retail price. Some of our items are ready to be loved in their forever home as is, others are in need of a bit of TLC and restoration - so we're a great option if you love a project and giving things your own flair.

International E-Waste Day is 14 October! It’s the perfect reminder to check those drawers and cupboards for unwanted electronics gathering dust.

💡 Did you know?
• Around 95% of the materials in IT equipment, such as computers, laptops and printers, can be recycled through specialist recycling.
• New Zealand generates an estimated 80,000–101,000 tonnes of e-waste every year.
• Only around 2% is estimated to be recycled — roughly 1,600–2,000 tonnes annually. That leaves a huge opportunity to recover more valuable resources!
This year’s focus is “Fast Tech” — small, inexpensive electronics that can quickly become waste. Before throwing them away, think repair, reuse or recycling. 💚
