Mt Albert Cassiar’s Promise (Cece)
7 year old | 1/2 Quarter Horse, 1/4 Holsteiner, 1/4 Thoroughbred

Cece has been competing in jackpots for the past two seasons, with 2024 seeing her as a consistent 1D placer in CBRS Jackpots. She’s about to finish her first full rodeo season in the open.
Cece is the full sister to Pyper’s horse, Zsiska, who won her the 2021 Rookie Barrel Racing Title and made the finals in 2023.

• Cece is fast, athletic mare with a lot of heart - she’s got all the buttons and is ready to set someone up for a competitive season next year.
• She’s been well prepared and is good to ride out, having done plenty of beach riding and ridden on a farm.
• Needs an experienced rider - Cece is strong and competitive, and she’ll do best with someone who can confidently take her further.
• Cece has a calm, well-mannered nature, but like any barrel horse, she can get a bit hot at times.
• She’s strong running but has great response to cues, aswell as being well-schooled
• She’s up to date with her teeth and has been in top shape with regular shoeing for competition.

I would love to keep Cece or take her with me, but due to moving overseas, I won’t be able to continue working with her. She a fantastic horse with a bright future, and I want to see her go to someone who’ll take her further.

Located in Wanaka, Cece will also be competing at the Maniototo Rodeo and NZSI Barrels & Poles Championship.

Cece putting down some nice runs over the southern run, following in her big sisters footsteps!! Gaining confidence and consistency. A highlight being a 2nd place in round 2 of mad bull rodeo with Livi. As well as running some competitive times in the open barrel race. Mad bull treated the Mt Albert horses well, seeing them 1st, 2nd and 3rd in round 2 of the open barrel race! With just a few events left for the season we are excited to see how Cece finishes out her first season!

A run from last weekend on pyper horse. She is starting to get the hang of things and getting some consistency. A great weekend, she placed 3rd in the 1D both days, looking forward to the next jackpot!

“Mt Albert Zsiska ”
Zsiska has had an amazing season consistently placing over the Xmas circuit including her first win in the open barrel race at Te Anau Rodeo. We picked up places here and there through the rest of the season which placed us number 7 in the country meaning we made the National finals in Outram which was very special as it is my grandads rodeo and where Zsiska and I broke open the previous season. This was a huge dream come true for me and couldn’t be more great full of my amazing horse, not only did she get us there but she went out and placed us 2nd in the first round, 5th in the second round and 3rd in the average against the best in the country.
Can’t wait for the up and coming season and the young ones we are bringing on through the winter, including Zsiska’s full sister👀🙌

Mt Albert Slick Sister - Last week we welcomed this gorgeous girl to the world. She is a full sister to our special Zsiska hence the name, and a half sibling to all of our other PK babies. Exciting future for this long legged baby😍😍 Beautiful chestnut just like her daddy, she is the first chestnut this mare has thrown and is for sure a sassy red filly!!
