Top of the New Year to family and friends of Rippon! We are starting the new year with a new page!

Due to tech issues late last year, we’ve recently been limited on how we can access and use this page, so we’ve had to make the decision to cut free and start afresh.

Rolfe would have been 100 this year and today marks twenty three years since he died. Both Rolfe's & Lois's vision along with Rudi Bauer and many others show us that determination and downright tenacity are the reasons we are here today. Thanks Rolfe

"Parting is such sweet sorrow... It's never easy to say goodbye to our team members when they move on to pastures new.
Today we farewell Assistant Vineyard Manager, Mel Sullivan, who will be taking up a role with our chums at as their Technical Viticulturalist
While we will miss her wonderful personality, skills and brilliant banter, we send her on her way with a huge amount of pride and excitement as she takes on this new role.
We are so thankful that your career included a three year Rippon chapter and we look forward to seeing the next chapter unfolds. Aroha nui. "

We're making compost this week, which means its a great time to revisit the Rippon Horizons video. This video was first released at the The Good Bunch Film festival in November 2021. Its content still rings true today. GO WORMS, GO !!!!

At the end of last week the crew watched, stirred & sprayed the preparation"500". This is the process were we fill highland cow horns with manure, bury them in the ground for a minimum of 6 months then dig them up and prepare a tea of sorts. Why I hear you ask? well it helps with stimulating soil activity, promotes root growth & activates the soil’s own life.
