Great fun yesterday running the Friends of Hāwea Flat School Ambrose Golf Tournament fundraiser.

Very happy to give up my time to work with the team, and what a good day it was. Sold out and everyone brought plenty of energy to the Lake Hawea Golf Club - lots of laughs and some great golf played. Helped by the sun making a lake appearance.

Absolutely devastated for everyone associated with Te Arai Links

But knowing many of these people, there is no doubt there'll come back stronger ❤️

As some of you may have seen in the news, Ric’s Restaurant was lost to a fire earlier today. It has been a very emotional day for our team, and we are incredibly grateful that no one was injured.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the fire brigade for their rapid response. Given our remote location, their ability to arrive so quickly made a significant difference.

Ric’s is more than a restaurant — it’s the heartbeat of Te Arai Links. It’s where our team and our guests come together, and where so many moments have been created.

Our focus now is to support the team and continue to take care of our members and guests with a temporary solution while we rebuild — and we will rebuild, quickly and thoughtfully, into something even stronger.

The 2026 Masters is looming, and Rory McIlroy: The Masters Wait has only added to my anticipation.

Released earlier this week on Amazon Prime Video, the documentary delves into Rory's life, covering his early years, the devastating 2011 Augusta loss, and his first three major victories that left him on the cusp of a Grand Slam.

The film culminates in the electrifying final round at Augusta last year, where Rory ultimately donned the green jacket.

In short, well worth a watch.

Today, Front 9 Golf celebrates its 9-year milestone. I'm humbled to work in such a wonderful industry.

I finally got to visit the Gibbston Valley Golf Club today and it was a real treat. It has only been open for three weeks, but I've had Instagram jealousy seeing others get out and play it!

Although the 9-hole course is a bit shorter than usual, it's full of character and didn't disappoint.

The service was excellent, the clubhouse felt welcoming, and the lunch was great.

Thanks to Jesus and Cristina.

I'm excited about the prospect of working with the team in the future.
