Heron's Flight Vineyard - Matakana In 1987 David Hoskins and Mary Evans planted grapes on a Matakana hillside. Follow us to learn about our family-owned vineyard and winery.

With more than three decades of successful vintages, they specialise in making wine from Sangiovese and Dolcetto. Heron's Flight Vineyard faces North, overlooking the beautiful river valleys emerging from Mt Tamahanga. Along with our grape vines, olive trees, lime and fig trees thrive here.

THE WINE: a blend of our 2023 and 2024 Sangiovese
COST: $16.50/bottle. Minimum 6 bottles - you can get more.
EXTRA BOTTLES: we have new bottles if you need them for $2 and corks for 50 cents

This is a family friendly event where you fill your empty bottles directly from the winery. Kids love helping cork the bottles!
$16.50/bottle (6 bottles minimum).
