We were delighted to finally celebrate our 20th Anniversary event with more than 90 of our present and past alumni and partners at Te Papa on Saturday night. It was a great opportunity to catch up, look back and envision the next two decades of Tregaskis Brown. Thanks to everyone who attended to make this such a memorable evening and for all our people who have contributed to making this such a successful company. A very special shoutout to Founding Partner Karen Tregaskis for her amazing drive, inspiration and commitment to the business throughout the 20 years.

The Investment Practice Manager will play a critical role within Tregaskis Brown’s leadership team. They are responsible for leading and growing our Investment Practice so that it is the primary ‘go to’ for senior executives seeking high quality investment decision-making support and smarts.

We have a highly regarded business case, ILM and portfolio management capability and we’re looking for an engaging and thoughtful manager to lead and grow this part of our business.

This is a brand-new role. You will be building the function, alongside other practice leads, and helping us to think through the concept of practices and therefore have a formative role in how our business develops. The responsibilities for this position are likely to shift over time, as the function continues to develop and the wider environment changes.

As Tregaskis Brown embarks on its 3rd decade of operation, we have identified a number of initiatives and changes that will assist with our continued growth and development. One of these is the appointment of an independent Director to our Board.

Jon Nichols has extensive experience in corporate governance serving on a number of commercial boards including the Eastland Group Limited and its subsidiaries, Top Energy Limited, Ngawha Generation Limited and Hawkes Bay Airport Limited. Additionally, Jon is the independent chair of the Risk and Assurance Committee for Hastings District Council and the Audit and Risk Committee of Maungaharuru Tangitu Trust and is on the board of Electra Limited and its subsidiaries. Jon has also delivered commercial consulting services through his advisory company Nichols Consulting Ltd.

We are delighted to welcome Jon to the Board and look forward to him sharing his ideas and observations and challenging us to improve our strategic decision making process.

Edwyn Jones and Iain Wright are both recent graduates from the University of Canterbury – Edwyn has completed his Masters in Finance & Economics and Iain has a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Marketing.

We are delighted to welcome Tania Vincent to the Tregaskis Brown team. Tania has been appointed as Delivery Manager, a new role within the leadership team where she will have responsibility for leading and growing our team of associates and contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of the business. Tania is an experienced people leader and a senior manager with wide experience in both the international and domestic work environments, in both public and private sectors.

Most recently, she held the DCE Organisational Performance – Pou Hâpai role at Ngâ Taonga Sound & Vision, a publicly funded charitable Trust that works closely with the Enterprise Partnerships area of DIA and sector partners: The National Library of New Zealand & Archives New Zealand. She also has more than 20 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant having worked in various CFO roles including for Maven International and OgilvyHealthworld in the UK (part of the WPP Group plc) respectively, after starting out at Horwath Wellington (now BDO Consulting).
