Alt-text is an essential part of web accessibility. It is often overlooked altogether or understood through the lens of compliance, as an unwelcome burden to be met with minimum effort. How can we instead approach alt-text thoughtfully and creatively?

So pdfs are unfit for human consumption! We've been saying this for years but no one really listens.And as for using them on a smart phone - totally draw the line on that.

This won't necessarily be news to anyone who uses a smartphone, but not everyone agrees.
