Spring has well and truly sprung here at Tirohana Estate and the vineyard is looking beautiful as the vines burst with leaves. To top things off, the weather is clear and sunny, and it's the perfect time to visit Martinborough with Labour Day weekend coming up and so much more to look forward to!

We have exciting news! The iconic "Round The Vines" event is coming up on 31st October, which helps fundraise for the local primary school and we are proud to be one of the major sponsors. We also have a chance for 2 sets of lucky winners to win 2 x free tickets to the event - to enter, make a booking (which can be anytime) for Lunch or Dinner at Tirohana no later than 4pm on Mon 26th October to go into the draw to join in this year! We will contact the winners on Mon 26th Oct after the draw is held.

Time is flying by and Christmas & the holiday season is right around the corner, which means it's never too early (or too late) to begin planning group bookings, functions, and other special occasions.

And we have lots of dining/accommodation options available to suit your needs. Whether it's a festive themed Lunch/Dinner or a corporate getaway, or a girls’ or friends’ weekend away, we can cater to whatever you require.

The Tirohana Estate "New Year's Dinner Gala" is also coming up and is one of our most popular events, which we are very much looking forward to. It’s amazing how fast the year has gone (just under three months left in 2026), but there’s still so much to look forward to at Tirohana Estate as Summer approaches!

The vineyard is quickly bursting with colour as Spring blooms, and it’s one of the most beautiful times to visit and enjoy the scenic & photogenic views from the restaurant, cellar door or to sit outside over a meal or glass and relax on our outdoor terraces.

We are open 7 days a week for tastings, cellar door, shopping and dining (Lunch, High-Tea & Dinner).

Speaking of food, our talented kitchen team has been hard at work with some exciting new menu options which are now available at Lunch & Dinner!

With Christmas and the holiday season just around the corner, if you are considering an end of year celebration or group function booking (perhaps a corporate day out or an event with friends and family), we have lots of festive options for groups of all sizes, be it in our restaurant or for larger groups our Grand Marquee nestled in the vines. The Tirohana New Year’s Eve Dinner Gala is one of our favourite events, an annual tradition in Martinborough, and we are so excited to host it once again. What beautiful music was performed live at Tirohana Estate in Martinborough recently (over a special high tea in the Grand Marquee for the event) by the very talented Slava Grigoryan on guitar and Sharon Grigoryan on cello, as part of the Martinborough Music Festival. It was a magical afternoon as the music soared over the vines, and even the weather was good! :)

A big thank you to Slava, Sharon - and of course all who attended the event (and all involved with the Martinborough Music Festival which is becoming a must see/hear annual event for lovers of chamber and classical music!). We have some moments here in a video to capture some of the occasion.

Thank you to all our clients and friends of Tirohana for your support in enabling Tirohana to be acknowledged with the Tripadvisor "Travellers' Choice" Award for 2026 which is quite an accolade, given that it places Tirohana Estate in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide!

Of course this wouldn't be possible without the support of each and every guest who experiences Tirohana Estate and shares their reaction on TripAdvisor, so we are grateful to all of our clients (both those returning over many years & first-time guests)!

We are very passionate about creating a memorable & enjoyable experience offering great value for everybody who walks through the door, and our talented team works hard to make sure everybody has the best time during their visit!

Spring is in the air! The sun has been shining in Martinborough, we are gradually introducing our Spring lunch and dinner menus - and in the vineyard, the buds are beginning to ‘burst’ heralding the beginning of the growing season.

In the pictures you can see some of our little Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vine ‘buds’ (aren’t they cute :) ) which will gradually grow to become leafy canopies of vines with grapes months from now.

It’s a magical special time and good to see some warmer daytime weather again. A perfect time to sit outside with a glass of w**e, or to enjoy something to eat.

Our daily lunch menu has a choice of 1-course main, or specials with two-course or three-courses if you wanted to add an entrée or dessert. And our great value 5-course dinner includes starter, main, dessert as well as amuse bouche and petit four.

Our Sunday Roast lunch special on 13th September is a succulent Roast Lamb with all the trimmings (and Yorkshire Puddings).

On our seasonally changing menus for lunch and dinner there’s the addition of a delicious Pork Saltimbocaa with soft polenta with parmesan and orange-infused silverbeet. And the Provençal Vegetable Soup is a lovely entrée, served with Estate bread brushed with local olive oil. Yummy!

As always, our restaurant has beef, lamb, seafood, vegetarian and vegan options – and not to forget all the choices for dessert of course!

Each week as we get further into Spring, our menu adapts for the season so lots of new dishes to look forward to!

We are open every day in our Cellar Door for w**e-tasting and bottle purchase and daily in our restaurant (bookings recommended) for lunch, dinner, high tea and all-day dining.

Just under a week till Father's Day! On the weekend as well as our Winter menu we will also be having a Sunday roast with all the trimmings which will be available for lunch & dinner on the Sunday itself. So what better time to treat all those special dads and father figures. All fathers who dine with us on Father's Day itself will also receive a surprise complimentary gift from Tirohana Estate!

We are delighted that the golden couple of Australian classical music will be showcased at this very special event in the Martinborough Music Festival 2026!

Slava and Sharon Grigoryan perform at Tea for 10 at Tirohana Estate in our Grand Marquee on Friday 25th September at 3pm. Slava is a renowned guitar virtuoso, while Sharon is an acclaimed cellist.

Known for their warm, expressive performances, the Grigoryans bring together music from different cultures, generations and styles. Their program includes well-known works for guitar and cello, alongside contemporary music, and fresh arrangements of familiar favourites.

They will perform at the beginning of the event, followed by a delicious light Tirohana high tea. Beverages are not included but a wide selection of drinks is available to choose from on the day. You can sample from our range of Tirohana w**e, enjoy a cocktail or mocktail, a cup of tea or coffee, b**r, spirits or soft drinks — whatever you prefer!'

We wish everyone a happy 'International Pinot Noir Day' for 2026! At Tirohana Estate in Martinborough, we are proud of our beautiful vineyard and award-winning boutique/artisan w**es, which are available exclusively through our Cellar Door and in our Restaurant (open 7 days a week), as well as on our online shop at www.tirohanaestate.com !

We love all our w**es and offer many white & red options, including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Rosé and more (all available in our Cellar Door, Restaurant and on our Online Shop)!

Every vintage is a story in a bottle, and we are grateful for the miracles of Mother Nature, to share the privilege of sharing our stories with you. We look forward to welcoming you on your next visit to Martinborough.

There’s always so much to enjoy in Martinborough and the only problem is what to choose! Is it red w**e? - or white? - (or both :) ) from our range of award-winning premium heritage vines… deciding what to have from the menu over lunch or dinner.. or choosing high tea… or even choosing when to stay over with friends or family to share some fabulous accommodation packages.

The team at Tirohana were pruning this August and there was a ‘double rainbow’ which we took a photo of. There may not be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow/s but there certainly is the ‘Golden Mile’ where we’re located, with its incredible soil, drainage and conditions, which is so ideal for producing Martinborough’s renowned premium quality w**es.

We are open 7 days per week for lunch, dinner, all day dining and high tea (bookings recommended). Our complimentary Tirohana shuttle pick up and drop-off is available if you are staying locally so no need to find a parking space, or even drive at all!

Our Cellar Door is also open each day where you can sample handmade boutique w**es, each of them unique, including several vintages and styles of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Rose, Dessert w**e, and so much more!

We’re looking forward to our growing season kicking in this September onwards and it is so amazing to see the miracle of Mother Nature at work with the vines growing and changing over the growing season, on their way to grapes then vintage in March/April.

Our accommodation packages at our on-site vinestay offer great value for groups and can accommodate up to 16 guests. Contact us for more details about our Girls Night In and Celebration Packages which are ideal for one or two-night stays with dinner or lunch included, also w**e tasting.

We’re also taking bookings for our traditional annual New Year’s Eve gala dinner on 31st Dec and advance group function bookings for the Christmas lead up over Nov/Dec (our restaurant or Grand Marquee venues can host groups of all sizes, up to 120!).
