Needing to update your CV?

Whilst it may be appealing and time saving to use AI to prepare your CV, it could actually disadvantage you.
AI can provide a layout and a template, even suggested general wording, but, and this is a big but…it cannot provide the personal touch which highlights your accomplishments and career goals and who YOU are to potential employers.
Recruiters are increasingly aware of the use of AI to create CVs which may disadvantage you in the selection process.
So short cuts are not your friend.

If you need to update your CV, I highly recommend you do it yourself, or use a CV writer.

We all have different likes and dislikes in life, from hobbies to food, so why would your job be any different. There will be aspects you like and some you don't. If however, you find you are not enjoying any aspects or perhaps you're not feeling challenged it may be time for a change.
I'm a big believer that you have to enjoy what you do, for the most part anyway. Life is too short to be in a job you don't like, or one that doesn't challenge you.

Recently I caught up with a friend for a coffee who had been unhappy in her job for the last few years and every time we catch up, she mentioned how she was going to start looking for a new job. However, something would change, and her work would improve, or she would be offered a different position and therefore decided to stick it out. Then, 6 months ago she made the leap and changed jobs and organisations. I noticed a huge change in her, she was happier than she had been in years, talked about work in a positive way and was excited about her work. Life is too short to be unhappy in a job. Recently, I have had several clients who have been in the same position for 10+ years. They are comfortable, they know the job inside out along with the company and their colleagues, and that makes them feel safe.
They have thought about looking for other employment and a new challenge but it is scary and doubts creep in. Can I do this? Who would want to hire me? Maybe I’m too old? Let me tell you, none of these are correct. In fact, what I see, as do many employers is an employee who is loyal to an organisation, and someone who can be trusted - these are all positives.
No matter what you may be thinking, it is never too late to start the job search and I promise that you will be the ideal candidate to one, if not several employers.
