Ever found yourself staring at a blinking cursor, wondering how to explain a highly specialised issue to someone with no knowledge of the topic?

Or maybe you’ve sat there struggling to figure out how to deliver a hard truth without it coming across as rude or insensitive?

We’ve all been there. Workplace standards, complex information, and technical jargon can make communication feel impossible.

In our upcoming Q&A, Write Group consultants Corinna Lines and Jacob Lister, along with host Daniel Androutsos, will be sharing practical tips on making the reader your focus, navigating cultural differences, and keeping the human feeling in hard conversations.

As a lovely added bonus, simply by showing up live, you’ll make a positive impact at no cost to you. For every person who attends our live Q&A, we’ll make a contribution through our B1G1 partnership to help protect the Indonesian rainforest from wildfires.

If you ever struggle to get a difficult or complex message across, this Q&A is for you.

We’ve been watching the growing trend of people scanning emails, reports, and LinkedIn posts for em dashes, and then declaring, ‘That was written by AI.’

But using an em dash doesn’t always mean AI wrote it. Skilled writers have been using em dashes for decades — maybe even centuries.

(And yes, we used an em dash there deliberately.)

The em dash is one of the most versatile punctuation marks. It can add emphasis, create a pause, or set information apart.

But most people don’t know the difference between a hyphen, an en dash, and an em dash. One of our most-read blogs is about this subject. It was written 2 years ago, but it’s still relevant today. Read it at:

Confused by hyphens and dashes? We're here to explain hyphens, short dashes, and long dashes, and how to use them.

In the July school holidays, we're running a special student version of our popular Advanced Reading workshop.

Designed for Year 12 and 13 students, it's the same workshop used by MPs, lawyers, academics, and senior business professionals.

We guarantee your teen will at least double their reading speed. They'll also comprehend more, remember more, and become less distracted.

The workshop has been described by past clients as ‘practical magic.’

Give your teen a head start before the real reading loads hit.

When AI first arrived on the business scene, we were very curious.

As people whose jobs involve producing written content, and helping other people write better, we had one big question: ‘What does this mean for us and our clients?’

We discovered that LLMs were assessing writing quality using rules from random sources that weren’t always clear or helpful.

So we decided to build something better. We used AI Native's expertise combined with our own plain language expertise, and we developed our own tool: Claira™. It assesses your writing against internationally accepted plain language criteria — and actually gets it right.

Web accessibility isn't a feature. It's a human right🌍

When we create content our goal is to connect with people. But if that content isn't accessible we're building walls instead of bridges.

The good news? You don't need a technical background to make a difference. Making your content accessible starts with just a few simple steps.

Find out three easy ways to make your content more accessible and why it's so important in our newest blog👇

There’s a big difference between AI writing something and AI helping you write something worth reading.

Left on its own, AI will happily churn out generic content. But when you bring clarity, context, and good prompts to the table, it becomes a genuinely powerful writing partner.
