Hi there,

The annual 'planting bee' at the Natural Cemetery is being held this year at 10.30am on Sunday 27th September. See the poster.

There are a few hundred native seedlings to plant (holes are pre-dug) in the new extended area. Food and drink will be supplied.

If you want to go along, please take a spade and/or weeding gear.

Note that the day will be held even if raining (we'll just get the planting done faster...).

I remember someone once sharing a poem with me which spoke about how she viewed Christmas. "For most," she said "Christmas was green and red. But for me it is blue and black." Christmas was a time when she recalled the death of her son.

Skylight have produced a very helpful information sheet on coping with grief through the holidays.

It breaks my heart to read a story like this. I have been involved with looking after funeral arrangements for the Jewish community here in Wellington for over 5 years. Makara cemetery Jewish cemetery was vandalised some years ago and now Auckland cemetery. This is very very sad.

I was saddened to hear that Dr Haydon Gray passed away on 17 October. He was a Medical Referee and I have worked with him for the last 4 or so years. He will be a big loss and my thoughts are with his family.
