Mind My Guest offers a premium property and guest management service to a growing number of fully furnished properties in the Wellington region.
Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for an experienced, reliable and trustworthy Head of Housekeeping.
Our housekeeping teams undertake the day to day cleaning operations and help ensure a positive experience for our owners and guests through exceptional cleanliness and presentation.
We operate 7 days a week, throughout Wellington City, with most cleaning work undertaken between 8am and 5pm.
Our properties range from small apartments to large homes.
You must have:
At least 2 years experience in a similar role in the high-end/5 star accommodation sector
A demonstrable knowledge of WHS compliance in all areas of the department including cleanliness and hygiene, manual handling, chemical handling and guest privacy and security.
Experience in web-based reservation systems
A hands on approach and ability to lead by example
Excellent interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail and high standard in preparing rooms and maintaining brand standards
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent time management, organisational skills and ability to work autonomously
Good written and verbal communication and computer skills, English is essential
Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate honesty and integrity
Flexible in hours and days available to work as this is rostered role.
Be physically fit with the ability to lift and carry heavy loads
Good knowledge of the Wellington Region
Full, clean drivers licence
Hotel housekeeping experience is essential.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a MoJ background check.
