Truly missing the good weather! 🌧️

Our hōiho are turned out and fun outings out on the whenua are truly few and far between for a while🙈

This was a regular occurrence during summer, moe on the way home after a big day riding our hōiho 😴

The funniest story with learning this waiata is that my kaiako said “does anyone know the banana boat song?” And I said “Āe” and brought up the sunscreen banana boat ad🤣

Funny how you can go from feeling “oh yeah, I got this!” to “ahhh s**t, I’m not ok😅”. I honestly low key wish, one day this happens but then the person jumps out of their car and joins in with me, would make me feel way less whakamā 🙈

My noho this weekend had me teaching my fellow tauira this, while I am not position to teach others, it helped me with my own haerenga🥲

I am incredibly nge nge from the weekend at noho but I am proud to say the amount of waiata we did and kōrero had my heart so full🥰

I am so pleased to announce I was able to teach my fellow tauira Tūtira Mai Ngā Iwi kapa haka and feel an enormous amount of emotions while doing this & I cannot wait share with you all, ngā mihi nui for all the tautoko🫶🏽
