We are still accepting bicycle donations on behalf of Eke Rua Rebicycle but they must be in excellent or new condition. 🚲

Put simply, this means they must be suitable for immediate rehoming or only in need of some minor repairs. 🔧

If your bike donation doesn't meet this standard, we may still be able to accept it on behalf of our other reuse/recycling partners. ♻

We get heaps of vacuum's donated every month and a lot of the time all they need is a good clean. Before you recycle your tired vacuum, why not try giving a good clean at home! ✨

If your vacuum cleaner still isn't up to scratch, you can bring it down to Te Aro Zero Waste for recycling. You might even find a replacement in store! ♻

Don't throw it away! Repair is climate action 🛠

As a part of Climate Fest Pōneke's jam-packed schedule of climate events and festivities, we're hosting another repair cafe on Saturday 18th.

Book online and bring along an item that needs a bit of love. Our skilled volunteers can assist with general fixes, electrical, electronic, jewellery, and welding repairs.

Did you know that batteries can't go in your household waste bin?

In store at Te Aro Zero Waste, we can accept used batteries in good condition for recycling. Damaged batteries will need to go to your nearest hazardous waste disposal - for those in Wellington CBD, that's at the Southern Landfill.
