You are now leaving the Wairarapa Dark Sky Reserve
The Galactic Centre arches overhead as the first glow of light pollution from the Wellington side gently illuminates the silhouettes of the Remutaka Crossing Memorial. A reminder of both the beauty of our night skies and the importance of protecting them.

🎨 The Wairarapa comes alive with creativity!

I'm delighted that Evan Davies Photography is part of this year's Wairarapa Art Trail.

Mark your calendar for 26 & 27 September 2026 and discover the artists, studios and galleries that make the Wairarapa such a vibrant creative destination.

Meet local artists, explore their workspaces, watch creativity in action, and find a unique piece to take home.

I'll be exhibiting a collection of my photographic work and would love the opportunity to meet you, share the stories behind the images, and talk about the landscapes, people and places that inspire my photography.

Whether you're an art lover, collector, or simply looking for a wonderful weekend exploring our beautiful region, the Wairarapa Art Trail is not to be missed.

See you on the trail!

Wild. Free. Unmistakably Kaimanawa.
One brief moment of eye contact with one of New Zealand's iconic wild horses—a quiet reminder of the resilience, spirit, and beauty of these remarkable animals. Encounters like this are a privilege I'll never take for granted.
